CURRENTS CAN INFLUENCE WAVE PROPERTIES
The author examines several current types that can influence wave properties and thus are critical to engineering the dynamic design of production platforms in deep waters. These include local current, Doppler current and mixed current. Changes produced by currents in wave length are also discussed, and it is shown how these changes can be calculated.
