ONLINE OBSERVATION OF BUILDING MOVEMENTS DURING THE TUNNELING OF THE 4TH TUBE OF THE ELBTUNNEL IN HAMBURG
By order of the ministry of transportation, under the controllership of the building authority Hamburg, the 4th tube of the Elbtunnel was built. Within the scope of these construction works the existing structural systems were underdriven by the tunneling. In this paper geotechnical measurements are presented, which have been carried out by Prof. Rodatz und Partner. The measuring system, which was used for a stepless observation of the building movements, is explained and valued in regard to the efficiency of the system, based on experiences. Finally, the measurements are interpreted from the geotechnical point of view.
