FINITE ELEMENT ANALYSIS FOR LONG TERM-SETTLEMENTS DUE TO AN UNDERGROUND EXCAVATION

A special numerical application of the coupled consolidation theory in the case of an underground excavation is presented. The method could deal with elastoplastic problems. An application of the method in a real underground excavation is presented and the analysis results are compared with the measured.
