DEVELOPMENT OF THE NEW STEAM CHARTS

Recently the Author prepared a new set of STEAM CHARTS. The principal thermodynamic properties in the superheat, compressed liquid, and vapor regions were plotted in the "h-v" plane in both the U.S. Customary Units and the S.I. (Metric) Units, thereby making available a great amount of information in a very compact volume. The results of this effort were published by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. This paper reports on the need for, and the preparation of, the new STEAM CHARTS at the Stevens Institute of Technology.
