WEAR OF TRACK AS RELATED TO TRAFFIC LOAD

Attempts are made to provide a reliable determination of the full wear of certain elements of the rail on the basis of the incurred average stresses. In the general case of nonsymmetrical, relatively average stresses, it is necessary to establish both the symmetrical and nonsymmetrical limits integration. Diagrams are presented for determining the equivalent stresses and for calculating the accumulation of damages.
