AN INVESTIGATION INTO THE EFFECT OF TOLL-BOOTHS ON MORNING PEAK TRAFFIC FLOW
This article describes the location and operation of the toll booths on the northbound carriageway of the Tay Bridge, Dundee. Results are included of a morning peak hour traffic survey which includes variations in traffic flow, and processing times at the booths. Details of car-occupancy levels and modal split for the bridge traffic are tabulated. The effect of the toll booth operation as a traffic restraint measure is considered. /TRRL/
