THE DESIGN OF SIMPLE SUPPORTED BEAMS BRACED AGAINST TWISTING ON THE TENSION FLANGE

Design formulae, tables and curves are presented for simply supported beams braced against twisting on the tension flange. A design example is included. Further work is in progress to determine stiffness and strength characteristics of beam-purlin connections. /Author/
