THE TRACKED AIR CUSHION RESEARCH VEHICLE (TACRV)

The Department of Transportation's (DOT) Tracked Air Cushion Research Vehicle (TACRV) System is described using descriptive material and data provided by the design contractors and the Federal Railroad Administration, Office of Research, Development, and Demonstrations. The TACRV is an experimental vehicle that will carry out research pertinent to evaluating the technical feasibility of the tracked air cushion vehicle (TACV) concept for commercial high-speed ground transportation.
