THE JFK MODEL
The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey have commissioned Engineering and Computer Simulations, Inc. (ECS) to develop a 3D graphic model of the Central Terminal Area of John F. Kennedy International Airport. The model displays existing conditions as well as proposed developments for interactive, real-time use on the Internet and personal computers. Passengers will be able to access the model for travel information and pedestrian paths and consultants working on projects for the airport will be able to closely study the areas concerned with construction. The model was put together with existing AutoCad files from recent construction projects and paper drawings from older projects.
