PREPARATION AND PAINTING OF SHIPS' HULLS. CHEMICAL-RESISTANT TANK LININGS

This Report summarises the results of a survey of the literature, the findings from an ordered research work on the chemical resistance of surface coating systems, and some measurements of coating thickness on welds and edges on steel panels. A report is also given on the immersion-testing of steel panels painted with ten chemical-resistant tank lining systems in a synthetic seawater solution. Order from: BSRA as No. 48,670.
