ANALYTICAL STUDY ON FLEXURAL BEHAVIOR OF GFRP-CONCRETE COMPOSITE BEAM
In this research, the H-shaped glass fiber reinforced polymer (GFRP) was assumed to be a 3-D orthotropic elastic material. Three kinds of tests on material properties of the H-shaped GFRP were first carried out. By these tests, the elastic parameters were obtained. Next, a program of the 3-D orthotropic elastic finite element method was used to analyze the flexural behaviors of the GFRP-concrete composite beams. It was confirmed that the calculated deflections agreed well with those of the bending tests including a shear deformation.
