IMPROVING THE PERFORMANCE OF GEOSYNTHETIC MATERIALS
Geotextiles have been used to separate track ballast from subgrade for the past 20 years, and experience has shown them to be more effective as a drainage separator over some soils than others. The article looks at work geosynthetic material producers are doing to consider how the performance of the materials can be improved over a wider variety of soils.
