The Conference consisted of four sessions titled: Stress Deformation and Strength Characteristics; Behaviour of Foundations and Structures; Slopes and Excavations; and Soil Dynamics, and its Application to Foundation Engineering. Papers were presented on sand drains, soft rock properties, structural and engineering properties of soils, soil loading capacity, bearing capacity of foundations, embankment stability, mathematical analysis of slopes shoreline erosion and landslides, performance of construction equipments and properties of marine sediments.
