AERODYNAMIC STABILITY MEASUREMENTS ON SECTIONAL MODELS OF SOME REPRESENTATIVE BOX-GIRDER BRIDGES. PARTS I AND II

Each model was tested under a number of wind conditions, with variations of fences, fascia-beams and deck widths, and over a range of structural damping values. Part I of the report describes the test programme while parts II and III present results for the twin-box and single-box girder bridge models respectively. These results are presented as graphs of non-dimensional amplitudes against reduced wind speed, and in tables giving values of the fluctuating lift and moment coefficients at wind speeds for maximum responses. /Author/TRRL/
