INVESTIGATING THE ADJUSTMENT FACTOR FOR PROTECTED LEFT TURNS FROM A SHARED LANE
This study analyzes the left-turn adjustment factor for protected left turns at signalized intersections. It aims to propose a more accurate method for the estimation of that adjustment factor. This includes an analysis of turns from a shared lane to a number of traffic parameters including the distribution of vehicles in the lane, the mean volume per lane and the proportion of left-turning vehicles.
