EXTERNAL COST ESTIMATES OF ROAD TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS: AN INTERNATIONAL COMPARISON. IN: URBAN TRANSPORT
The purpose of this paper is twofold. First, it provides empirical estimates of such optimum road pricing of accident costs by drawing on the theory outlined by Jansson. Secondly, the paper will examine how such optimum road prices doffer in different countries where the traffic environment can be expected to be different. The sample of countries consists of Sweden, Finland, Denmark, the UK, Germany, and Switzerland.
