NOISE AND VIBRATION FROM HIGH-SPEED TRAINS. CHAPTER 3. HIGH-SPEED TRAIN NOISE BARRIER TESTS AT REDUCED SCALE
Topics discussed in this chapter include modelling outdoor sound propagation, principles of scale modelling, scale modelling of railway noise, design of sound-absorbing barriers at a scale of 1:32, and barrier tests. Scale model measurements were considered an efficient and effective means for ranking different barrier types for prioritising which barriers to use in full-scale tests. For the covering abstract see ITRD E109863.
