DATA EXCHANGE NETWORK - CENTER-TO-CENTER COMMUNICATIONS

The Data Exchange Network (DEN) application is a software system solution, which enables co-ordinated and remote monitoring and control of existing/new Traffic Management Systems within geographically dispersed Transportation Agencies. This allows for region wide Traffic management capabilities to be developed between dissimilar Traffic Control systems in multiple jurisdictions. The DEN Application provides the core Center-To-Center data exchange capabilities and complies with the emerging NTCIP standards. It is developed using Internet technology such as real-time Publish and Subscribe method of information access and is hosted on an Internet browser environment. Peer-to-Peer to Peer-to-Peer architecture enables existing Traffic Control Centers to access and manage data while preserving autonomy. The Corridor Wide Display provides identical Graphical Map based information of local TMC data as well as information from other agency TMC's to which the user has subscribed to in real-time.
