HYDRAULIC CONDUCTIVITY OF SOILS FROM GRAIN-SIZE DISTRIBUTION: NEW MODELS. DISCUSSION AND CLOSURE
A discussion of an earlier paper with the aforementioned title by F.K. Boadu, published in this journal (Volume 126, Number 8, August 2000), is presented. The discusser, while commending the author for an interesting use of statistics and fractal modeling to relate hydraulic conductivity and grain size of a saturated compacted soil, addresses some issues raised in the paper that are contrary to the discusser's experience. Discussion is followed by closure from the author.
