ZONING AS A TRAFFIC REMEDY
This article takes a critical look at zoning in the early 1960s as a tool to remedy traffic congestion. The evolution of attitudes toward the use of zoning as a device for alleviation of traffic problems is first discussed. Current zoning theory and practice are next considered. Lastly, both theory and practice are subjected to analytical scrutiny to shed light on effective future actions.
