THE TRAINING OF TRAFFIC ENGINEERS
At a time of rapid urban population growth and increasing traffic complexity (the early 1960s), this article focuses on the need to properly train and develop traffic/highway engineers and planners in order to meet the rising demand for professionals in these fields. General recommendations are made as to the scope and nature of related educational programs and the material to be covered in a syllabus or lecture source for studies in traffic/highway engineering or planning.
