PROGRESS IN ADVANCE PLANNING IN NORTH CAROLINA
The article describes the advance planning program in North Carolina and reviews its progress. The article describes the establishment of a statewide highway network; the preparation and adoption of comprehensive thoroughfare plans for municipalities and urban areas; and the cooperation of the advance planning department with federal, state, city, and county agencies. The article also discusses problems and difficulties encountered by the advance planning program.
