INTRODUCTION TO AVIATION PSYCHOLOGY. IN: PRINCIPLES AND PRACTICE OF AVIATION PSYCHOLOGY
This paper reviews the changing role of the pilot, starting with the Wright brothers in 1903, and then discussing the modern role of the pilot and visualizing the future pilot. The book's two major objectives are disussed: to serve as a training tool through aviation psychology, or engineering psychology; and presenting psychological principles and research that are important in aviation.
