RESEARCH ON ADHESIVE BENDING BEHAVIOR OF YOUNG ON OLD CONCRETE

Old concrete aged more than one year is made into adhesive bending specimens. More than one hundred specimens were tested. Four methods were selected to treat the interface. Three kinds of cementitious bond agents, such as neat cement paste, cement paste mixed with rapid hardening ferroaluminate cement, and cement paste mixed with 10% UEA expanding agent were adopted. Ordinary portland cement concrete, polypropylene fibre reinforced concrete, steel fibre reinforced concrete, and rapid hardening ferroaluminate cement concrete were selected as new concrete in the test. These different kinds of interfacial treating methods , bond agents, and the types of new concrete all have an effect on the adhesive bending strength of young on old concrete. Not only the experimental research on the above factors affecting adhesive bending behavior have been carried out systematically, but also the adhesive mechanism has elucidated.
