FUTURE VISION OF GLOBALLY HARMONIZED NATIONAL AIRSPACE SYSTEM WITH CONCEPTS OF OPERATIONS BEYOND YEAR 2020
The paper describes a vision of CNS/ATM systems for year 2020 , including a number of operational concepts that consider a major shift in paradigms from post-OEP national airspace system. The importance of people making decisions and using their best judgment to manage operations, air/ground automation with accurate information on the location of the aircraft, combined with decision tools for managing difficult traffic flows, will allow service providers to plan and monitor more traffic in the equal amount of airspace, enhance security, safety, capacity and efficiency.
