SIMULATION MODEL FOR TRAFFIC FLOW ON RURAL HIGHWAYS WITH ACCOUNT TO HORIZONTAL ALIGNMENT
SIMULATIONSMODELL FUR DEN VERKEHRSABLAUF AUF KURVIGEN LANDSTRASSEN
The components of a model are described for digital simulation of traffic flow on a two-lane rural highway with traffic moving in opposing directions. In this volume, a first extension of the model described in Volume No. 21 of this serial number is presented. Based on empirical research data, the driver's behaviour on road sections with curves is described by a model. Results of simulation are shown under variation of traffic flow characteristics and various conditions of the horizontal alignment and will be compared to simulation results of straight road sections. /Author/
