EXPERIMENTAL INVESTIGATION OF MOTORCYCLE SAFETY
Experiments relating to collisions between passenger cars and motorcycles, which form a high proportion of traffic accidents in Japan, are reported. By means of these experiments, a prototype side protection device was produced as a practical device for providing protection to motorcycle riders, particularly in cases of lateral collision, and studies were made of the efficacy and behaviour of such a side protection device. /TRRL/
