SIGNS FOR BIKEWAY AND PEDESTRIAN GRAPHICS
The need for developing a standard for signs is of utmost importance in the area of vital pedestrian sign use in urban and suburban centers. Vital pedestrian signs refer to those that indicate information, direction and movement and are necessary environmental appendages to individual safety and movement. A well known example of this problem of letters and signs is the incorporation of symbols or pictograms to convey messages, thereby eliminating words. /TRRL/
