BLIND DRILLING WELL SHAFTS FOR LAKE MEAD INTAKE 2
A new regional water supply facility known as the Treatment and Transmission Facility (TTF) is being constructed by the Southern Nevada Water Authority (SNWA). The paper describes the design and the construction of the 22 1.83 m diameter shafts for deep well pumps included in the TTF. The SNWA will use the TTF for the Lake Mead Intake No. 2, new aqueducts, booster pumping stations, and a new water treatment facility.
