TUNNEL RESTORATION WORKS, COMPUTER DESIGNED USING DATA ACQUIRED BY GEORADAR SURVEYS
The visual inspection of concrete lining in highway tunnels has been recently implemented by continuous georadar profiles, testing of specimens while small boreholes have been used both for calibrating the georadar signals and for detecting the quality and the thickness of the concrete. These surveys have allowed to detect all discontinuities and anomalies etc existing within the concrete lining and to locate areas where repairs appear necessary. The restoration works have been designed by means of a dedicated software, using as a basis for the design the georadar signals recorded during the surveys. For the covering abstract see ITRD E108195.
