ROAD USER COSTS AS A FUNCTION OF THE STATE OF THE PAVEMENT
In order to optimise the PMS, the vehicle operation costs of the road users, in function of the state of the pavement, must be known. Namely, the objective of the optimisation is to minimise the sum of the costs of the road authorities and of the road users. Our algorithm calculates all these costs as function of the relevant pavement state parameters. It can easily be updated according to the often occurring changes of the input data (fuel and other prices, etc.). For the covering abstract see ITRD E108018.
