EZRA SENSIBAR COMPLETES MAJOR SAND FILL PROJECTS
The vessel described operates on the principle of the hopper dredge, but differs in that its propulsion unit, a 5400 hp tug that fits in the notch in its stern, is detachable and need not be part of the plant when the barge is laid up or under repairs. No crews' quarters are required on the dredge for the navigation of the vessel.
