DEVELOPMENTS IN ELECTRICAL POWER DISTRIBUTION IN PASSENGER VEHICLES

In this paper, the authors study the impact that multiplexing has had on vehicle wiring. They discuss how multiplexing can be combined with solid state switches in order to rationalize the entire wiring system. The authors also discuss issues related to the adoption of higher voltages in vehicles.
