REACTIONS OF C SUB 3 S WITH WATER
Research is reported which resulted in the formulation of the following equation for the reaction of C3S with water: 2(C3S) + 6.64H = 3.28C.2S.3.92.H + 2.72 CH. The equation for the reaction using the d-dried reference condition is as follows: 2(C3S) + 5.12H - 3.28C.2.40H + 2.72CH where C=CaP; S=Sio2; and H+H20. Work on the kinetics of the hydration of Tricalcium Silicate is also reported.
