AN INFORMATION SYSTEM FOR PLANT MANAGEMENT
The paper describes the Plant Information System developed by the Main Roads Department of W.A. and the various ways in which this information can be used as an aid to plant management. Such management functions as budgeting, expenditure forecasting, expenditure control and replacement are discussed. The selection, collection and storage of data are also covered including the use of computers for information storage and collation.
