DISPERSION OF TRAFFIC CARBON MONOXIDE EMISSIONS IN URBAN CENTRES.
The paper deals with investigations extending over about eight years into street air concentrations of carbon monoxide at three busy traffic intersections in or near Birmingham city centre. It seeks to establish a relationship between traffic intensity and pollutant concentrations and draws attention to the limitations inherent in basing environmental judgments solely on concentration levels of a toxic pollutant. /Author/TRRL/
