THE ROLE OF A NAVIGATION PLAN IN NAVIGATION
This paper presents a study which examined how people make navigation plans and how these plans are used. Navigation plans and performances were studied using a navigation model. The essential features in the plans that result in errors were identified. The features related to the recognition of information at intersections. The authors also studied by effect of visual information on navigation processes by examining how people use 3D computer graphics information during navigation.
