NATIONAL SERVICE
This article describes the U.K. Highways Agency's Traffic Control Centre (TCC) project, designed to provide centralized and strategic control of England's trunk road network. The project includes plans for the selection of a private consortium to build and operate the TCC. The article examines a number of issues related to the project including effective relationships with government agencies and financial considerations.
