QUALITY AND OPTIMISATION OF AN URBAN WASTE REMOVAL COMPLEX NETWORK
Urban waste removal management presents peculiar characteristics of complex systems due to the inherent complexity of the urban road map, the relative pattern optimization and the management of the waste disposal trucks units. To improve waste removal network quality, a preliminary optimization procedure was designed for waste disposal truck patterns along the urban map to reduce pattern lengths, minimizing service time but covering the entire town and improving the opportunity to produce biomass for generating electricity and heat. The procedure improves the quality of the waste removal network.
