NEXT-GENERATION FREIGHT CARS TAKE SHAPE
Slowly rising levels of industry wide demand in North America have not dented freight car builders' commitments to working with customers to produce innovative new designs and improvements to service proven products. The intent behind all these designs is the same: longer asset life, lighter weight, and higher payload capacity. This article provides a preview of some of the new designs that will be showcased at the Railway Supply Association International Rail 2000 annual meeting and exposition.
