THE NEW OPERATING MODEL OF TB AND ITS EFFECT ON THE BUS ROLLING STOCK MANAGEMENT

TMB is an association between two companies, each of them with its own legal local government owned identity: FC Metropolita de Barcelona and Transports de Barcelona (TB). Together they are respectively responsible for the city's underground railway and the bus services. They operate under the institutional title of Transports Metropolitans de Barcelona, TMB. This article examines the ways this network operates to acheve the goal of the bus network: to provide a service which, in coordination with the subway, successfully meets the requirements of Barcelona.
