TRACE PROCESS SUPERVISOR TRAINING SYSTEM

Netherlands Railways is introducing computer-controlled route setting based on a route-setting scheme: the TRACE Process Supervision System. Route management has moved from dispatching alone to the dispatching and supervising of routes. The introduction of TRACE will be completed in the year 2000. Training of process supervisors takes place on several different training systems and on the operational TRACE system. For the training of new personnel, it was necessary to develop a new system with which inexperienced personnel could be trained to become process supervisors. The training requirement is that this should happen without disturbing the operational process. This paper describes a newly developed training system for the Netherlands Railways Process Supervisors.
