NOTES FROM AGRA: SELLING MODERN RICKSHAWS
This article discusses the design, manufacture, and promotion of modern rickshaws. The focus is on the Hari Om Cycle Mart, which produces some 3000 units/year, mostly through financial middlemen. Two new designs are featured, the Agra and Delhi models, that incorporate more advanced features such as lighter frames, multiple gears, and more comfortable seats.
