UNIVERSITY FLIGHT OPERATIONS INTERNSHIPS WITH MAJOR AIRLINES: AIRLINE PERSPECTIVES
This study examines the partnership between U.S. airlines and aviation-oriented universities that facilitates flight-oriented internship programs. Through the use of a literature review and phone survey, the researchers investigate the similarities and differences between the top 12 airlines' internship programs. Additionally, the researchers work to dispel some of the myths surrounding these programs and reveal the tangible and intangible benefits to the participants, the sponsoring airlines, and the universities.
