HIGHWAY RAMP CONTROL VIA FUZZY LOGIC
This paper describes a ramp metering control system which uses fuzzy logic. The control system includes a fuzzy decision base which estimates the probability of light change and a decision function which decides the light changing mechanism. One sensor is needed to measure vehicle speed and speed change rate. Simulation results show the effectiveness of the control system.
