A MAP MATCHING APPROACH FOR TRAIN POSITIONING. PART II, APPLICATION AND EXPERIMENTATION
This paper presents applications of a map matching algorithm. Focus is on steady-state Kalman filters and their application to filtering the yaw rate and tachometer signals. Experiment results, in which a quartz yaw rate sensor and axle encoders are used aboard a freight train, present the performance of the map matching algorithm.
