AN ELECTRONIC ROAD PRICING SYSTEM DESIGNED FOR THE BUSY MULTI-LANE ROAD ENVIRONMENT
In this paper, the design and evaluation of an electronic road pricing (ERP) system for use in a multi-lane road environment are described. The system involves an automatic vehicle identification-debiting system, a vehicle position detector, and an enforcement camera system. The paper examines different aspects of the system's performance including design, performance, and reliability.
