WINTER MAINTENANCE - NEW CUTTING EDGE FOR SNOWPLOUGHS AND GRADERS
The Norwegian Public Roads Administration uses a great number of cutting edges in the winter maintenance. It has been a goal to develop a new cutting edge more economic in use, useful in all weather conditions, with a low noise level and able to clean the tracks worn by studded tyres from slush. A combi-edge with steel plates and tungsten carbide casted in rubber has been developed in Norway and tested the last two winters. The results so far are very positive and promising.
