POLICING RED LIGHT AREAS : DIGITAL IMAGING OFFERS SIGNIFICANT ADVANTAGES FOR TRAFFIC VIOLATION ENFORCEMENT
This article describes how digital camera enforcement systems are being used in red light applications in Germany. The systems can also be applied to other traffic enforcement applications such as speed dedicated lanes, access restriction violations, and toll avoidance. The article discusses some of the legal issues associated with the use of digital camera enforcement systems.
