ITS TESTED ON VDOT'S SMART ROAD

This article focuses on the Smart Road and Smart Travel program in progess in the State of Virginia. It describes the use of magnetic lateral guidance and warning tape as a means of awakening drowsy or inattentive drivers. The magnetic tape is also useful in adverse weather conditions by helping drivers navigate and snow-plow operators to drive when the road can't be seen. Addition
